Houses of Parliament

The famous Impressionist painter Claude Monet was a master at capturing mood through the use of color and light. He was known for creating multiple works based on the same landscape at different times of the day under various weather conditions. The Houses of Parliament paintings all depict the same object (a landmark in London), yet the atmosphere captured in each rendering evokes a completely different emotion within the viewer.

The Houses of Parliament Sweater comes in three shades of red. The sweaters are all made of the same material, but the color and styling give each look a distinct feel. Dress it down with a pair of jeans or dress it up with a button-down shirt. You can even bring it along for a date and through it on over your little black dress to warm up at the end of the night.

Snowfall at Night

If a snowflake falls in the night, and no one is there to see it, did it really fall at all?

Imagine waking up in the middle of the night and looking out the window to catch the first snow of the year flickering under a street lamp. Imagine throwing on a warm sweater, pulling the hood up over your head, and gently closing the front door behind you. Imagine walking into the night, enveloped in darkness and silence.

The ground is soft, the air is dense. When you reach the street lamp, you stop to gaze up at the dots wafting down toward you. You glance down to see the black footprints you’ve left in the layer of white dust. There is no sound of cars driving by in the distance, no screeches from hidden critters of the night, no doors slamming, no voices calling – nothing. All is completely still.

Now imagine waking up the next morning. The snow has melted, the sun is out, and it promises to be a beautiful day. All that remains from the previous night are the glistening surface of the pavement and the drip, drip, drip from the gutters of the house.

As you glance out at the streetlamp beneath your window, you can’t help but wonder whether it was all a dream. If you had not woken up in the middle of the night, would you have noticed anything different? Or would you have gone about your day as usual, paying no attention to the street lamp, or the pavement, or the sound from the gutters.

The Snowfall at Night sweater captures the atmosphere of a wintry night such as this. The white specks seem almost suspended in midair. Time loses all meaning. The sweater is fitted to provide a slimming silhouette, yet gives an air of casual nonchalance. The classic color palette and understated pattern go perfectly with a pair of jeans and boots.
